We are 8 or 9 dpo depending on when ovulation happened, since it happened over night.
We test in 3 days from now and it certainly does seem like a far way to go at this point. I was the lady with 14 pregnancy tests yesterday at the mall. The clerk looked at me like I was CRAZY. I told her I wanted to be sure, and she asked if 1-3 would have been enough, and of course, I said... I would have been as certain as if I had 14!
I can't wait to test! I am starting to get nervous though. We've had a few symptoms already, so we're all just praying for a great test result, if not I'm going to get a blood test to be certain. It's a little nerve wracking haha. I feeeel pregnant already, and I don't now why I'm stressing about this. I'm already thinking about little girl characteristics! haha
I'll post some belly pictures soon, I went to the mall today and I got a few comments about it. lol
Okay... not sure what else to blog about hahahaha
See you all later
God Bless

As a child we all want to be superheros of some kind. I've found my way of being a super hero...I'm a surrogate. I want to share with others my journeys, and hope that people will both learn about surrogacy, and want to be part of it, it is a beautiful world, welcome to it.

Ignore the dates... my camera SUCKS haha
So, I did almost 30 hours of travelling for 9 hours in Montreal hahaha. It was soo fun and I'm so grateful that I got to go!!
So the count down is ON! On the morning of the 11th, we will be testing :) That will make us 10 days past ovulation. It can take up to 14 days past ovulation, so hopefully it'll be good nd it'll turn up when we want it to!
Not sure what else to update on! Our last insemination was October 2nd at 4pm. That was just in case :) But I'm positive that the sperm and egg met late the night before :)
Okay, so... ask any questions!

The Excitement...It's Too Much!
I have some great news for everyone!! Here.. I'll show you instead!
This was taken last night
This was taken only 3 hours later
And here is the one from today
These are ovulation tests... not pregnancy tests.
We arent telling anyone until 8 weeks either way. The reason for his is because we want t be sure it has worked and we will be looking forward to January either way, whether it be for inseminations or 2nd trimester visit.
Please don't bother asking about pregnancy test results because I will just say that we are excited for January.
Sooo...time to jump around!

An American man is riding a train in a European country. His seatmate knows some English, and they end up chatting. The seatmate asks if the American has children. The American says no.
"Ah, so sad," says the European. "Your wife, she is impregnable?" "Well, um, that's not exactly the word," says the American. "Oh!" interrupts the European. "I mean, she is inconceivable?" "Um, not quite --" the American begins, only to be interrupted again. "Oh, no, that isn't right," says the European. "She is, what is it, she is unbearable?" "Well, actually, that's pretty much sums it up," says the American.A pregnant woman from Washington, D.C. gets in a car accident and falls into a deep coma. Asleep for nearly six months, when she wakes up she sees that she is no longer pregnant and frantically asks the doctor about her baby. The doctor replies, "Ma'am you had twins! A boy and a girl. Your brother from Maryland came in and named them."
The woman thinks to herself, "No, not my brother... he's an idiot!"
She asks the doctor, "Well, what's the girl's name?"
"Denise."
"Wow, that's not a bad name, I like it! What's the boy's name?"
"Denephew. "

Brenda, pregnant with her first child, was paying a visit to her obstetrician's office. When the exam was over, she shyly began, "My husband wants me to ask you if its still okay..."
"I know, I know." the doctor said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "I get asked that all the time. Sex is fine until late in the pregnancy."
"No, that's not it at all," Brenda confessed. "He wants to know if I can still mow the lawn."

The room was full of pregnant women and their partners, and the Lamaze class was in full swing. The instructor was teaching the women how to breathe properly, along with informing the men how to give the necessary assurances at this stage of the plan.
The teacher then announced, "Ladies, exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. And, gentlemen, it wouldn't hurt you to take the time to go walking with your partner!"
The room really got quiet. Finally, a man in the middle of the group raised his hand.
"Yes?" replied the teacher.
"Is it alright if she carries a golf bag while we walk?"

The Delivery
A married couple went to the hospital together to have their baby delivered. Upon their arrival, the doctor said he had invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labor pain to the father. He asked if they were willing to try it out. They were both very much in favor of it.
The doctor set the knob to 10 percent for starters, explaining that even 10 percent was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced before.
But as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine, so he asked the doctor to go ahead and bump it up a notch. The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20 percent pain transfer.
The husband was still feeling fine. The doctor checked the husband's blood pressure and pulse and was amazed at how well he was doing. At this, they decided to try for 50 percent. The husband continued to feel quite well.
Since it was obviously helping out his wife considerably, he encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic.
When they got home, the mailman was dead on their porch.

I Didn't Write This One, But Had To Share
Our friendship started differently,
Than most friendships I've had.
We had to search each other out,
because of something sad.
A precious child to fill your hearts,
Is what you're longing for.
Infertility has made it hard,
to open up that door.
And so a search began for you,
to find a helping heart.
So similar to my own search,
not knowing where to start.
For me, the search is special,
it requires such great care.
A couple to have a child...
the fruit my search must bare.
Now we've found each other,
so much more real it seems.
Through faith and hope and honesty,
we're moving toward your dream.
But the dream we have,
it is the same, a dream that's filled with firsts.
First smiles, first laughs, first steps, first words.
All starting with a birth.
Often times I find myself wondering what it's like,
to have to trust a stranger with such a precious life.
And though I can't imagine,all that you've been through,
I hope you know I'll do my best to bring a child to you.
Surrogacy is something not everyone can do.
But I've been so blessed in my life,
I'm drawn to helping you.
Some people call us Angels, us surro-moms to be.
But I don't feel angelic, I just feel like me.
Our journey is just starting,
and no one knows the end.
I pray it brings to you a child,
and brings to me a friend.
